A bold Islay single malt from Port Askaig, this is the second batch of its Cask Strength edition. Each batch is made up of no more than 60 casks, with those for the 2024 edition selected and blended to create layers of sweetness and zest, intertwined with a good helping of Islay smoke.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Zesty lemon peels, black peppercorns, buttered toast with marmalade, and waves of thick smoke.
Palate
Salted citrus joins the peat smoke, with rich layers of toffee and slightly burnt spiced biscuits.
Finish
Peppery warmth, tarry smoke, chewy caramel, candied lemons, smoked oak.
