This is a 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Speciality Drinks' Port Askaig range, taken from an undisclosed distillery on the island of Islay. The whisky was matured in both Sherry and bourbon casks, resulting in balanced notes of citrus, honey and classic Islay peat smoke.
Nose: Sweet brine and peat. Palate; Sophisticated creamy peat. So damned balanced. It carries its age with Hepburn elegance. After: The ending is phenolic peat that never sours. This is great whiskey
