This is the latest addition to the Port Askaig range, introduced at the Whisky Show 2012, and is a smoke and salt forward dram.
Sandy and salty on the nose leading to briny peat notes and a medium body on the palate leading to a citrus dominating palate with persistent waves of peat.
Beautifully blanced salty and smoky flavours with hints of sweet somewhere on the lines of caramel and fruits. Salty first, smoky later. Very very good dram.
