Pike Creek 10 Year Old is a top notch Canadian whisky which gets treated to a finishing period in rum barrels before bottling (previously Pike Creek was finished in Port casks, though the producer changed it to rum barrels at some point in the 2010s). Excellent stuff, and great value-for-money, too.
Honey'd raisins and pecans, with a spicy little kick of herbaceous rye hiding in there.
Old-fashioned cola cubes, cardamom heat, caramel and a clear suggestion of good rum.
Lasting notes of brown sugar and dried oak.

I LOVE it !!!.....It is distilled in Canada ....and it ages outside....for 10 years ..rain or shine ...snow or sleet .....let nature age it !!! Well done MOTHER NATURE !!
An absolute delight of a whisky. Full of so many flavours it’s hard to keep up with them. The varying temperatures during the ageing process really does add punch to the flavour. Marvellous.
Lovely dram, very mellow and light while still being very tasty, while the taste is really good the finish is a little bland for me but still all round a great whiskey for £25
If you like whisky and you love rum, you'll really like this. A tad sweet for me, but this is my rum-drinking, better half's favourite whisky and I like it for being a bit different to the run of the mill. Good value too
Just an amateur bourbon guy here, adding to my infinity Whiskey bottle & Bourbon bottle, purchased. To taste: As always I've sipped the first taste like hot coffee & wow, a beautiful first pallet taste no real burn & relatively smooth. Carmel hits you after the initial burst of flavour, but it isn't sweet it carries depth like caramel should. with a good size swallow it leaves something to be desired, I really want this to take me away but It almost crash lands, From flavour infused with rum to a mellowing & then gone. To nose: Definitely as it states there is the smell of Cola, like opening a fresh pack of cola bottles. No real hit of ethanol even from a deep sniff due to its low ABV. Sweet raisins, like the taste of rum & raisin ice cream, once you smell it you can't get rid of it. The sad reflection of crash landing has me questioning 3-4 especially due to the price margin. Add another £10 on this & you would be in the territory of saving it's just missing that lasting part to be truly memorable & high class. 1 - Shite 2 - Potential but needs something else 3 - well rounded, sometimes confusing & needs refining 4 - simply memorable, not overplayed & a great lasting taste 5 - Perfection
