Pig's Nose Whisky

(70cl, 40%)

Pig's Nose

Pig's Nose Bottling Note

Created by Richard Paterson, the chap behind the Sheep Dip range, comes another farmyard-themed whisky - it’s Pig’s Nose! Fear not, of course there weren’t actually any snouts harmed in the making of this blend. The reason behind the name is because it's as 'smooth as a pig's nose', as the saying goes.

To be honest, we’ve never actually touched a pig’s nose, though after tasting this whisky we’re sure they must be very smooth indeed.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Gristy and youthful, some fruit, barley malt, porridge. Young but very sweet.

Palate Creamy and sweet. Soft, gentle, quite gristy, rather oily and slightly coastal. Hints of salt.

Finish Medium length, salty butters and caramel.

Good blend
A nice mix of Speyside notes with just a hint of coastal peat. Body is light but a pleasant dram indeed.

Smooth, nice body and pleasant
Lovely to find this under my Christmas tree. Enjoyed with a bit of ice and it's very smooth. Very different from the peat whiskies I've collected.
Just quaffing a glass now before going out for dinner. Wetting my appetite.

Very very nice
Very nice. I agree it is probably though I can't confirm it as soft and as smooth as a pigs nose. Enjoyable and unfortunately easy to drink.

Sweet and salty - For the price good value. A very good base blend.
For Blend of at this price it is great.

This is not on the same level as Single Malts at the same price such Tamnavulin Single Double Cask which might be a few pounds more and a superior Whisky.

However, this is interesting and actually has a very good after taste which I was not expecting on after the first sip.

I found it to be nice blend of sweet and salty.
