Single Malt
A whisky from way out west - Wales, to be exact! This is the first batch of Penderyn single malt whisky to be independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, and it was matured for 6 years before the Boutique-y bunch got their mitts on it. ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Leafy herbs and stone fruit, with underlying malty richness.
Herbaceous once again, though now with a subtle floral twist of jasmine. Juicy peaches and vanilla pod earthiness arrive soon after.
Honeyed barley, greengage, white grape and cut grass.

Ever light and sweet with many of the notes from the nose returning: vanilla, honey and silky stonefruits. More sweetening malts and for a second I even doubted about a slight corn like whiff. In balance, living up to the stated age most definitely, good choice of ABV as well, I reckon it would have been way less flavorfull at 40% …
