Penderyn Faraday

From the Penderyn Distillery comes Faraday, a Welsh single malt initially released for the travel retail market. The whisky is named after the distillery's Faraday still, designed by (and obviously named after) Dr David Faraday, and aged in bourbon casks. Before bottling, the whisky is finished in ruby Port casks, giving it a somewhat fruitier flavour profile.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Obvious Port influence on the nose, with chocolate raisins, berry jam and creamy vanilla notes.

Palate Creamier than the nose might suggest, with more vanilla, dried cranberry and toasty oak, supported by ribbons of caramel.

Finish Milk chocolate praline with oodles of dried berries, and a tannic oak finish.
