A 2015 addition to the Penderyn range of Welsh single malt whiskies! This is the Penderyn Celt, which enjoys a finishing period in peated casks, resulting in a subtle, elegant wisp of smoky peat coming through...
Vanilla and orange zest blend well, with touches of coast peat wafting in. The peat grows more intense on the palate, with a little bit of a medicinal edge to it.

My wife bought me a bottle of this as a Christmas present, it was the first Welsh whisky I have ever tried, and I will certainly be buying some more. It was a lovely smooth drink with wonderful flavour. An absolute pleasure.
Quite a light whisky with that copper stil taste you get from Irish whiskys but with the complexity you get from a good single malt scotch not that far in the background. Slight smokey finish and very pleasant all round. I give it 86 out of 100 considering the price I paid £25, on offer at Asda.
