Penderyn 25 Year Old
A very old Welsh single malt from Penderyn, in fact, the oldest it has ever released. Matured for 25 years in a sherry butt, the long ageing developed the distillery’s typically delicate, fruit-forward spirit into something considerably deeper, bringing together dried fruit, toffee, cocoa, nuts, and mature oak. A rare chance to see what Penderyn’s spirit does after a full quarter-century in wood.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Orange blossom, dried apricot, sherry-soaked raisins, soft oak, toffee, and cocoa.
Palate
Fig, vanilla cream, soft toffee, rich malt, spiced oak, cocoa powder, and nutmeg.
Finish
Dried fruit, roasted nuts, cocoa, and gently drying oak.
