Trotting straight out of Nashville, Tennessee comes this tremendous eight year old bourbon! It is well known that bourbon and barbecued food are a match made in heaven – something that pitmaster Carey Bringle has heaps of experience in from the running of his family restaurant, Peg Leg Porker. With such a fantastic name, we are extremely happy that he decided to venture into the world of whiskey and create this his own bourbon! It's a tasty sipper and should be spot on for mixing up some classic bourbon cocktails, perhaps alongside a barbecue.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Big and bold, plenty of oak char, with sweet caramel and subtle hints of pickle brine.
Palate
Sweet, toasted nuts and buttered popcorn, wafts of vanilla pod counter peppery oak, and a touch of sesame.
Finish
Peppery heat builds with sweetness still underlying, along with plenty of spicy oak.
