Peerless Small Batch Rye

If it's tremendous rye whiskey you're after, that is exactly what you're looking at. Feast your eyes upon Peerless Small Batch Rye, an excellent whiskey all the way from Kentucky. Not only does it boast all the hallmarks of a fantastic rye (warming spices, toasty brown sugar notes, layers of caramel and oak, bountiful fruit elements), the bottle is also rather fetching too. Bonus.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose There’s ripe green apples, cranberry, peanut brittle, buttery vanilla, toasted brown sugar and toffee popcorn bring a wave of complex sweetness while nutmeg, ginger, black pepper add aromatic spice. As it develops there’s orange peel, fennel and baked earth with touches of Dr Pepper, rosewater, Taveners Coconut Mushrooms, fluffy marshmallow and sandalwood in support as well as some barrel char.

Palate An impressive variety of flavour emerges from that same core of apple fruitiness, baking spice and nutty woody goodness. Fresh malty rye grains, earthy vanilla, stem ginger and floral honey emerge among touches of chocolate milk, raspberry, black tea and apricots in syrup. Underneath there’s charred pepper, toasted oak and just a handful of dried herbs.

Finish Homemade apple juice, salty porridge, marmalade and hints of cedar, clove and menthol linger.

Reviews for Peerless Small Batch Rye
Amazing bourbon
Bloody good drink. Comes in at 55.2% and my god it has alot of flavour to it. You wouldn't tell it's only 3 years old. Plus the bottle is amazingly designed but the flavour is sweet and delicious. Possibly one of my favourite drams.
