“Smooth & balanced. Nose a bit underwhelming but more than make up for it with a good mouthfill and very nice impact when swallowing. Not so sweet as I was expecting. Imo about as sweet as Bunnahabhain 12 and less sweet than Ardbeg Uigeadail, for comparison.”

Description
Paul John in Goa has created a pair of Indian single malt whiskies finished in different types of sherry casks for its Select Cask series. This particular edition was allowed a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, imparting some big, bold, lip-smacking notes of chocolate, dried fruit and coffee.

Nose
Marmalade on toast, mocha, stewed plums and a kick of peppercorn.
Palate
Espresso, raisins, sultanas, apricot, chocolate mousse and perhaps a touch of mint chocolate too.
Finish
Lasting festive spices and chocolate peanuts.
