Paul John Christmas Edition 2019
A lightly peated Indian single malt from Paul John, all bottled up for Christmas! Hailing from Goa, the single malt has been finished in Pedro Ximénez casks and bottled at 46% ABV, so it's suitably festive and spicy, with just a hint of smoke. If there was ever a dram to crack out after Christmas dinner, this is surely it.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Crème brûlée, milk chocolate praline and apple pie, with maple syrup and candied orange.
Palate
Floral honey and sherried dried fruit, cooked plum and slightly burnt toast supported by milky coffee.
Finish
Chai spiced dark chocolate and oily nuts, with a whisper of smoke lingering.
