We had the immense pleasure of trying this at Whisky Live, really great stuff; Van Winkle 23 is a super bourbon of epic proportions. They release yearly batches of this, all of which sell out rather speedily, the batches are very small, consisting of a few casks' worth each.
Dark fruit, espresso coffee, oak and buttery toffee. Sublime stuff.
Rich and spicy. Oak underpinning nutty sweetness, honey and star anise.
Spicy and sweet, long.

Old Rip Van Winkle is only bottled once a year for the whole year. Having one of these bottles in your possession you are holding one of the best bourbons that Kentucky has to offer. Made with limestone filtered water, naturally grown barley and malt and aged sour mash this is one of the best tasting, smoothest and purest bourbons that the Bluegrass has to offer. It will be well worth the money and even if you only drink a little bit at a time this bourbon bottle ages remarkably!
