For heaven's sake..

Lover of single malts. Raised in the foothills of Clermont, KY, I have a natural nose for barrel spirits. This Old Pulteney 12 is unbelievably delicious, balanced and colored gold. Bought on a whim, this scotch brought me to near tears of joy once experienced I'm telling none of my friends that I bought it for $20.99. For heaven's sake, by a bottle. Hell, two bottles.

Exquisite

Ive been drinking whisky now for 3 or 4 years. I still consider myself a whisky novice even though I've tried many different single malt scorches. I'm a bargain hunter so I try a lot when they're on offer, which Old Pultney 12 never ever seems to be. However, I spotted this at £22 and snapped it up immediately. Not disappointed, at all. In fact this is in my top 5 easily. Absolute pleasure to drink, smells and tastes like salted caramel, Little spice and hints of vanilla. A really exceptional whisky at the price point. It's a must have in my humble opinion.

A masterpiece in a sea of mediocrity

Not only one of the great value single malts - one of the great malts. Old Pulteney is also a master of consistency. One never opens up a bottle and wonders what happened. The salty and briny notes are a delight, but there are a range of other flavors. Is this called the “Iowa” malt? No. Its called the “Maritime” malt because it prides itself in its whiff of the seven seas. This is like being at sea while sipping it in your study.

Very nice

Tasted this in a restaurant and was very nicely surprised by it's quality. Easy to drink with lots of flavours coming about. One of the best I drank this year and one to buy for the home collection. JWW

Great all rounder .Easy sipping whisky. Goes down way too smooth. The price is excellent.

I spied this on the top shelf and decided to give it a try .Bright, and warming. The taste of honey lingers. The finish is smooth naybe too smooth. The price point is low compared to similar tasting single malts.
