Old Perth 14 Year Old 2004
Another release of Morrison & MacKay's Old Perth blended malt, which was named in honour of Perth, Scotland and its historical connection to whisky. This fascinating vintage 2004 blended malt features Macallan & Highland Park malt whiskies that were matured in a single sherry cask. It was bottled with an outturn of 675 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Floral smoke, brown sugar and fresh apple blossom are followed by black cherry, plump raisins and fruitcake notes.
Palate
On the palate there's drying Christmas-y spices, toasted barley and stewed fruits, with sweet vanilla, marmalade and golden syrup after some time.
Finish
A sweet and long finish is percolated by a distinct forest floor richness.
