This 13 year old expression follows on from a popular blended malt that Morrison & MacKay created for the Old Perth series, combining whisky from two hugely respected distilleries - highland Park and Macallan. A small release of just 620 bottles.
Demerara sugar, rum-raisin ice cream, bonfire smoke.
Intensely well-sherried, with dried fruit and chocolate notes by the bucket-load. A lingering smokiness sits in the background, with hints of balsamic vinegar.
Stem ginger, treacle and mince pie.

If you are expecting Macallan, look away now, as this is not so subtle, more a smack in the face! Its Intense stuff, with that IMHO wonderful combination of lingering sherry and smoke - a thick 'liqueur' texture that is big and bold and wonderful because of it, with a liquorice linger that is very satisfying. Wish I had more than one bottle.
