This 13 year old expression follows on from a popular blended malt that Morrison & MacKay created for the Old Perth series, combining whisky from two hugely respected distilleries - highland Park and Macallan. A small release of just 620 bottles.
Demerara sugar, rum-raisin ice cream, bonfire smoke.
Intensely well-sherried, with dried fruit and chocolate notes by the bucket-load. A lingering smokiness sits in the background, with hints of balsamic vinegar.
Stem ginger, treacle and mince pie.

£81.81If you are expecting Macallan, look away now, as this is not so subtle, more a smack in the face! Its Intense stuff, with that IMHO wonderful combination of lingering sherry and smoke - a thick 'liqueur' texture that is big and bold and wonderful because of it, with a liquorice linger that is very satisfying. Wish I had more than one bottle.
