Oban The Macleans - Old Teddy 70cl Whisky

This is a bottle of Oban The Macleans Old Teddy Highland single malt whisky that was released in 2019 as the first of three instalments in Oban's The Macleans series. It pays tribute to Old Teddy Maclean, who began work at the Oban distillery in 1953 and rose to the rank of master distiller, a position later filled by both his son Young Teddy and his grandson Derek. It was the latter who selected this whisky, which was matured in a 60/40 ratio of refill American hogsheads and sherry butts. It produced 3,690 bottles at a hearty 51.7%. ABV.
