North Port 23 Year Old 1976 - The Dormant Distillery Company
Every now and again something very special finds its way to MoM Towers and this 23-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, from the now closed North Port distillery, is quite something. This single malt was distilled in December 1976, when Abba were climbing the charts with 'Money Money Money'. In 1983, North Port was sadly deemed to not be making enough money money money, and the distillery was eventually demolished. This single cask went on maturing for a total of 23 years, however, finally being bottled in August 2000 by The Dormant Distillery Company. Only 100 bottles were produced, at a natural cask strength of 60.4%. Expect this Highlander to be still fresh, fruity and slightly dry.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
