Scorched Sunset 13 Year Old 2010 - Wemyss Malts (North British)
Single grain Scotch whisky here from North British Distillery, distilled in 2010 and bottled up by Wemyss Malts. The brand says the whisky has a "vibrant and vivacious character. Orange zest dances on the tongue, before sizzling to a fiery ginger finale" - hence the name Scorched Sunset.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Vibrant gingerbread, syrup-soaked oats, vanilla cake & sugary-sweet marshmallow.
Palate
Butterscotch rests beside sweet orange zest with warming notes of brandy butter bringing brilliant balance to rich charred, peppery oak spice.
Finish
Long & warming after the finish with crystallized ginger tingling on the tongue.
