North British 55yo 1961 Bottling Note

Well, well, well - you've discovered some whisky history right here! It's a single grain Scotch whisky from the North British distillery, aged in a refill butt for a massive 55 years! It was distilled in December 1961 and matured for over half a century until February 2017, when Hunter Laing bottled it up for their Sovereign range. 144 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Milky coffee, blackberries and hints of smoky burnt sugar.

Palate: Rum spices, raisins and raspberries. Cinnamon and fudge. Seville orange.

Finish: Very long and packed with sweet oak.
