This is a stupendous bottling of the North British grain whisky boasting an astonishing fifty years of cask ageing.
Rum and lime followed by butterscotch, cedar wood, baked apples and strawberries.
The flavour is sweet and mouth-coatingly awesome. Fudge, citrus fruit and apples fill the mouth with liquid wonderment.
Baked apple, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugared almonds form the basis of a finish that goes on for as long as one would expect from a half-century old whisky.
Fifty years old and packing all of the flavour and complexity you could want from a grain whisky.
