An intriguing single grain whisky here from North British, bottled by Bramble Whisky Co.! After it was distilled in Edinburgh in 2015, the spirit was matured (rather unusually for grain whisky) in a virgin oak cask for four years. It was bottled at 46% ABV in a release of 375 bottles, with heaps of sweet, caramel-forward oak influence.
Milk chocolate and buttery caramel, with brown sugar and citrus curd.
Woody spices and more caramel alongside oaky vanilla and buttered toast.
A touch of tobacco lingers, accompanied by a smidge of butterscotch.
