North British 35 Year Old 1989 Single Cask (Master of Malt)
The 1980s were a good decade. Great things happened, like the foundation of Master of Malt! Another good thing to come out of the '80s (1989 specifically) is this splendid single grain Scotch from Edinburgh's North British distillery. Matured for 35 years in a single refill hogshead, it's packed with creamy grain and chewy, juicy barley, and 185 bottles join our own Master of Malt collection. No added colour or chill filtration here.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Creamy grain and pineapple candies, tart notes of quince and gooseberry fool, then warm chocolate pudding. Robust oak, treacle tart, sawdust, peppermint, and a touch of polished antique furniture.
Palate
Sweet and mouth-coating with lucious layers of golden syrup, tropical fruit, chewy oaken caramel and creamy rice pudding. Banana fritters join, with waves of vanilla, and vibrant, cakey spices in tow.
Finish
Honeyed porridge, chocolate fudge, butterscotch, gingerbread, cinnamon snaps, buttery shortbread, pineapple upside-down cake. Juicy barley, mellow oak, and soft spices trail off into the distance.
