A beautiful old Lowland single grain Scotch whisky here, presented by Douglas Laing for its Extra Old Particular (XOP) series. The 35-year-old single cask was distilled at North British Distillery back in 1988 and was aged in a refill barrel (cask #17848) before it was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 41.9% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Banana milkshake, vanilla, cinnamon, and toffee apples.

Palate

Caramel, tropical fruit, salted popcorn, floral honey, and nutmeg.

Finish

Maple syrup and oak char.
