North British 32 Year Old 1988 (casks 608959/963 & 238960) - Mission Gold (Murray McDavid)
Lots of great things came out of 1988, for example, the debut album from hip hop duo Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock, It Takes Two, which became a platinum-selling record. Another thing happening in 1988 was the distillation of this glorious single grain whisky at the North British Distillery! Matured for 32 years, this whisky spent its time resting in bourbon casks, followed by a generous four years finishing in American rye casks. Finally, the whisky was bottled up by the folks at Murray McDavid for its Mission Gold series. A total of 405 bottles of this delicious dram were released. Hit it!
