North British 32yo 1988

Lots of great things came out of 1988, for example, the debut album from hip hop duo Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock, It Takes Two, which became a platinum-selling record. Another thing happening in 1988 was the distillation of this glorious single grain whisky at the North British Distillery! Matured for 32 years, this whisky spent its time resting in bourbon casks, followed by a generous four years finishing in American rye casks. Finally, the whisky was bottled up by the folks at Murray McDavid for its Mission Gold series. A total of 405 bottles of this delicious dram were released. Hit it!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fresh apples and poached pears, rich oak, buttery popcorn, and wafts of vanilla.

Palate Tarte Tatin, baking spice, honeyed granola, and sweet oak.

Finish Caramel sweetness mingles with savoury wafts of oats and hay, a touch of anise and pepper.
