Joining the Private Cellars Selection from independent bottler The Whisky Cellar, a generously aged single grain Scotch from the North British distillery. Distilled in 1994, this one spent 28 years maturing in a first-fill bourbon barrel, yielding a total of 180 bottles when it was opened in 2023.
Honeyed granola leads the way, with a touch of marzipan, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Crumbly vanilla fudge, set honey, and butterscotch are joined by layers of leathery old oak and spiced biscuits.
A touch of cocoa joins toward the finish, with lingering oak and woody spice.
