North British 27 Year Old 1988 (cask 55816) - Single Cask (Master of Malt)
We've gone and bottled another marvellous North British single grain Scotch whisky as part of our Single Cask Series! This was distilled in October 1988 and allowed to mature in a bourbon barrel for 27 years, until June 2016!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Freshly cooked Belgian Waffles and cinnamon pastries, custard too. A classic and hugely pleasing well-matured single grain nose.
Palate
This whisky spent 27 years in a cask in Scotland, during which time it bought a house in crème brûlée country before moving to crème brûlée country and having its post forwarded to crème brûlée country.
Finish
Salted caramel sauce.
Overall
Another stunning single cask grain whisky at natural cask strength!
