A grand single grain from the North British Distillery, this expression was distilled back in June 1995. After a nice long rest of 26 years, including a finish in a Marsala wine cask, it whisky was bottled in 2021 by indie bottler Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyers collection, with a total outturn of 231 bottles released.
Sweet, creamy grain with buttered popcorn and honey flapjack, silky caramel, wrapped up in rich oak.
Brown sugar, hints of figs and plums, a touch of vanilla, and sweet, nutty marzipan.
Spices creep in with soft cinnamon and nutmeg, gently zesty with wafts of orange peel, and warming pepper.
