North British 26yo 1995

A grand single grain from the North British Distillery, this expression was distilled back in June 1995. After a nice long rest of 26 years, including a finish in a Marsala wine cask, it whisky was bottled in 2021 by indie bottler Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyers collection, with a total outturn of 231 bottles released.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Sweet, creamy grain with buttered popcorn and honey flapjack, silky caramel, wrapped up in rich oak.

Palate Brown sugar, hints of figs and plums, a touch of vanilla, and sweet, nutty marzipan.

Finish Spices creep in with soft cinnamon and nutmeg, gently zesty with wafts of orange peel, and warming pepper.
