26 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the North British distillery, matured in a single hogshead cask. In June 1988, the grain distillery placed this whisky into cask #34442 and set it aside to mature. In May 2014, it was bottled by Càrn Mòr with an outturn of 250 bottles. Part of the Celebration Of The Cask range.

Open the bottle and nothing - but 30 mins later all the aroma of a good grain are coming through. Fudge, vanilla, caramel, sweetness etc. I forgot all about the high abv when first tasting but even then it was still incredibly smooth. Add a drop of water and this is one to savour.
