North British 18yo #15587

An independently bottled single grain Scotch from the North British Distillery up in Edinburgh, released by Douglas Laing as part of the Old Particular series. Distilled in March 2003, this one spent 18 years mellowing, including a finish in a single refill butt. In February 2022, the cask was opened, yielding an outturn of 183 bottles of this fruity, syrupy sipper.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Gooey flapjack, covered in milk chocolate, lemon blossom, and orange cream.

Palate Sticky toffee pudding, spiced banana bread with candied ginger, and roasted almonds followed by layers of vanilla.

Finish Buttery fudge, a touch of pepper, more creamy grain, and nutty oak.

I've been really good, can I have
