Description
A 17-year-old single grain Scotch whisky from North British, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor for The Octave collection. Distilled in 2008, the whisky was finished in a small sherry-seasoned octave cask before bottling in August 2025. The compact cask has delivered a full-bodied combination of honey, dried fruit, stone fruit, liquorice, and oak. Only 89 bottles were released at 54% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Runny honey, raisins, nectarine, vanilla, and polished oak.
Palate
Dried fruit, malt loaf, liquorice, caramel, ripe peach, and gentle spice.
Finish
Sweet and drying, with raisins, dark sugar, anise, and toasted oak.
