A 2009 vintage single grain from North British, aged for a total of 16 years, including a finish in a ruby Port octave cask (#5946673). The small cask finish pushes fruit and sweetness forward, giving it a dessert-leaning profile with plenty of richness. It also qualifies it to become part of The Octave series from the fantastic Duncan Taylor.

Nose
Red berries, cherry compote, port wine sweetness, vanilla and polished oak.
Palate
Raspberry, dark chocolate and warming spice, supported by a rich, rounded mouthfeel.
Finish
Lingering Port sweetness, oak grip and gentle heat.
