While most distilleries use their Coffey stills only to make grain whisky, Nikka use the two Coffey stills at their Miyagikyo distillery to create malt whisky too. The Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky was introduced to their selection of expressions in 2014. Plenty rich and flavoursome, it's a wonderful addition to Nikka's fantastic range.

Warning , if you don't like very sweet whisky's , this one will not be for you I personally adore the lovely taste of caramel and a bit of citrus in this whisky. Lovely, smooth and gentle on the tongue.
I'm not sure what's going on with these reviews, I'd almost think people are mistakenly reviewing the Coffey grain rather than Coffey Malt. For me this is a really distinctive and completely delicious whisky. Nose of cereal and digestive biscuits with a really milky chocolate which incredibly carries over to the palette. Little burn, very smooth and one I intend to buy having sampled very recently
Lovely creaminess and flavour profiles that cannot be replicated! I’ve tried sourcing for something similar but they hardly come close! Very refined and smooth. I leave mine to sit for around 10-15mins, helps to eliminate some of the burn and taste better! Would give 5 stars if not for the burn!
Despite the Coffey coffee joke, I must say the toffee smell is strong in this one. A little water helps the burn but use it sparingly. A travesty to compare it to something Kahlua, but the smell is very close.
A lot of fake reviews on here. There is no coffee flavor at all people. It is distilled in a Coffey still. Stop review things you haven’t tried. Creamy, sweet, citrus, pear, with a soft Japanese oak spice on the end followed by lingering honey note and sweatness
