
While most distilleries use their Coffey stills only to make grain whisky, Nikka use the two Coffey stills at their Miyagikyo distillery to create malt whisky too. The Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky was introduced to their selection of expressions in 2014. Plenty rich and flavoursome, it's a wonderful addition to Nikka's fantastic range.

I was drinking this strait for a bit when the flavor started to fall off. I started adding a cube of ice to cool it down and add some water and the flavor opened up and all the subtle flavors came out. I recommend this as an introduction to Japanese Whiskeys. I would definitely get this one again!
Really surprised by the taste- strong toffee flavor- smooth, slightly viscous.
