Nikka Coffey Malt 12 Year Old
Yeah, yeah, we know it's not really a single malt (because it was distilled in a Coffey column still, rather than a pot still). This is, however, a fantastic 12 year old limited release from Nikka. Jim Murray scored this an incredible 97 points!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is pungent and rich. There are notes of nuts and espresso beans, berry fruits and dried peels. The palate is rich and full with notes of vanilla spice and thick nuts. A little bourbon and maramalade. The spice develops beautifully. The finish is long and full with chocolate and nut oils.
