Ragtime Rye Whiskey Double Oak
This fantastic variation on New York Distilling Company's Ragtime Rye has enjoyed a finishing period in rye casks, and has been bottled up at cask strength. The result is a richly flavoursome and brilliantly bold whiskey, boasting hearty notes of rye spice and vanilla-rich oak. Immensely satisfying, and perfect for all kinds of classic cocktails.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Maple syrup on pancakes, flapjacks, a good kick of peppercorn and red chilli, some subtle pine hints along the way too.
Palate
Earthy vanilla, more cracked black pepper, slight hints of orange and cherry sweetness, with a touch of cardamom.
Finish
Lingering spiciness of rye grain, with a layer of toffee.
