New Riff Single Barrel Rye (50.6%)
New Riff has bottled up another batch of its cask strength Single Barrel Rye! Its mashbill consists of 95% rye and 5% malted rye, so it's all about the spicy grain. While it's superb sipped neat, this is sure to make some marvellous Manhattans.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Baklava sweetness and a good crack of black pepper, with clove-studded orange.
Palate
Somewhat oily, with a touch of honey balancing heaps of spice, with Turkish delight and strawberry laces.
Finish
Barrel char and hallmark rye spice lingers on.
