“I had one of their earlier small batch releases and wasn't too keen. Tasted young. This however was great. Very flavoursome and sweet. Bit of spice and rye flavours. Price is right too. This isn't ground breaking but definitely worth a try if you enjoy bourbon. That said it is a single barrel so will be interested to see how much variance there is. ”

Another brilliant bottling of Single Barrel Bourbon from Kentucky's New Riff! Following a high rye mashbill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley, you can certainly pick up on plenty of rich, warming spice amongst the creamier corn and oaken vanilla. Splendid as ever for sipping, and a superb way to upgrade your classic cocktails.

Nose

Barrel char and honeycomb, with mint chocolate and pastry.

Palate

Berry jam and milk chocolate, with notes of mocha and oaky vanilla alongside warming baking spice.

Finish

Oily orange and a spicy rye finish.
