Aon means "One" in Gaelic and represents Nc'nean's collection of unrepeatable single cask bottlings. Every one is made with 100% organic Scottish barley, distilled using 100% renewable energy powered copper pot stills, and bottled in a 100% post-consumer recycled glass bottle.
The luxurious ex-Moscatel de Setúbal expression was created to celebrate the independent UK retailers that have supported Nc’nean since the start. Like us! It was distilled in June 2017, fermented with Anchor and Fermentis yeast, and aged for a total of eight years before it was bottled in November 2025. The original maturation was in a first-fill bourbon cask, before it moved into the Moscatel de Setúbal cask in April 2023.
The sweet, fortified Moscatel cask is similar in style to a white Port, and brings rich, apricot flavours and subtle herbal notes to the brand's signature, elegant and fruity spirit. The whisky was filled into 240 bottles, non-chill filtered, natural colour at 54.2% ABV. It's certified organic, vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and B Corp certified. All the hits.
