“Behind the intensity of alcohol,there is a great view of warm asian forest.The whiskey is full of vitality.It has lovely smell of green plum ,raw banana and slightly honey.And with classic sherry and oaky flavor.It is a great different when you compare it with the speyside single malt but it wont let you down.The weak point is short finish but it is a NAS, we cant be harsh. ”

Description
The Nantou Distillery in central Taiwan is one of a number of distilleries owned by the state, but the only one making whisky. They began to produce whisky back in 2008, and now we can finally get a taste of their single malt! This particularly expression was aged in Sherry casks, resulting in classic chocolate-coated raisin notes.

Nose
Almond, sultana, red grapes and a few squares of fudge.
Palate
Oily barley, with clove, ginger, cinnamon and layers of milk chocolate and dried fruit.
Finish
Subtly spicy with fresh oak and more dried fruit.
