Combining a splendid blend of single malt whiskies, Naked Malt is allowed to mature in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. The name refers to the fact that the casks have never held whisky before, meaning that all that rich, fruity sherry goodness is imparted straight into this tasty blend! Nice and versatile, it's a solid sipper and ideal to have handy when mixing up some cocktails!
Smooth and oily with notes of cherry compote, buttered granary toast, malt, custard and peach.
Sherried and thick with notes of sultanas, sticky toffee pudding, raspberry jam, Victoria sponge, custard and crème caramel.
Medium, with notes of cocoa, oak and just a soupcon of smoke on the very tail.

This has to be the most horrible alcoholic liquid I have ever put into my mouth. I have been drinking high quality single malts, blended malts and blended whisky for years. I bought a bottle of Naked Grouse, poured a dram and added some water. I took a sip and thought WOW, I DON'T LIKE THAT. I took another couple of sips and immediately poured the drink down the sink. I THEN EMPTIED THE REST OF THE BOTTLE DOWN THE SAME SINK. I tried to wash my mouth out to take away the taste, but unfortunately the dregs of Naked Grouse still lingered. This has got to be one of the worst Scotch whiskies ever. There have been a number of Scotch whiskies over the decades which have been described as "paint stripper" because of their roughness. Naked Grouse does not have that property. IT IS JUST HORRIBLE. Obviously blended from very young immature whiskies.
A really fine blend, smooth and with lots of taste and some complexity. Really a great value. A lot better than Monkey shoulder and others in same price range.
I cant believe how good this is for a blended malt ....having said that it's still a malt ...no grain in this ...for me its perfectly balanced I'm not one for being able to pick all the individual smells and taste as some can but I know I like it ... what's more to say..apart from I'll buy again ...
run to the hills... stills... grab a bottle! i don’t get the smoke/peat but that’s ok! happy thanksgiving! i nabbed this last bottle on sale for $29 ? nabbed a bottle of wild turkey longbranch as well ... cheers!
Naked Grouse is a superb dram with taste well above its price. Here in Korea I managed to find it for ₩57,000 ($51.36). That’s above it’s retail but quite a great price for the location. It’s very smooth and the simplicity of the bottling makes it a beautiful piece for those who love to display their collection.
