A blended malt from Murray McDavid's The vatting series, combining three different single malts from the Isle of Islay, and finishing the expression in a French red wine cask before bottling 2017.
Sherried sweetness arrives first, though a waft of maritime peat notes soon take over.
Buttered toast, a touch of sweet grist, oak-y smoke and orange peel.
Cardamom, raisin and charred oak.
