The Kingdom’s Finest 5 Year Old 2020 is a little mystery from the Kingdom of Fife from Murray McDavid.. although we can spare you the detective work: this is Strathenry single malt from InchDairnie. It's on Murray McDavid's website. Distilled in 2020, it spent five years maturing, including a final year in some rather unusual oloroso sherry casks from Ximénez-Spínola. The sherry was made with Pedro Ximénez grapes rather than the customary Palomino. A neat bit of sherry nerdery, with delicious consequences. Bottled by Murray McDavid in 2026 for its Mystery Malt range, this release brings together three casks, yielding 904 bottles at a hearty 56.1% ABV.
