The Fiddichside 31 Year Old 1989 (casks 2008137 & 18129) - Mission Gold (Murray McDavid)
A wonderfully well-aged blended malt whisky from Murray McDavid, released as part of its Mission Gold collection! This expression was created in honour of the legendary Fiddichside Inn, on the banks of the River Fiddich, and in memory of its legendary innkeeper Joe Brandie. Two single malts distilled just up the river from the Fiddichside have been treated to finishing periods in different sherry casks. The first spent six months in a Pedro Ximénez cask, whilst the second spent two years in Oloroso, blended together, the result is an exceptional dram – a truly spectacular Speysider!
