A second batch of the popular Rìgh Seumas I from Murray McDavid's The Vatting series. ‘Rìgh Seumas’ translates as ‘King James’, named in honour of master blender, Jim McEwan. This peaty malt is made with whisky drawn from bourbon, sherry and wine casks, and was bottled in 2018 at a hearty 50% ABV.
Nose: Rich fruity oak, gentle notes of smoky peat.
Palate: Dark fruits and roasted malt, with hints of salinity shining through.
Finish: A medium-dry finish with notes of sweet malt.
