From Murray McDavid's the Vatting series comes the Àlainn 27 Year Old blended malt, made using single malt whiskies distilled on the Isle of Islay. It enjoyed a finishing period in a Sherry butt before being bottled in the summer of 2017.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Petrichor, Fruit Salad sweets and shortbread, with heaps of vanilla notes in support.
Palate
A mixture of medicinal peat and seaweed notes, joined by yet more vanilla and a touch of prune.
Finish
Peanut brittle and barrel char smokiness.
